Course Description: This is an intermediate-level, 8-hour NCBTMB-approved course designed for massage therapists who want to confidently and compassionately treat clients who use thoracic or abdominal compression garments—such as chest binders, tummy trimmers, and corsets. Participants will explore the biomechanical, fascial, and respiratory implications of chronic compression and learn hands-on techniques to restore mobility, balance, and breath capacity. Through lecture, demonstration, and guided practice, students will deepen their understanding of gender-affirming care, body mechanics, and clinical reasoning for complex thoracic presentations.
Learn to safely and effectively treat clients who bind or wear compression garments. This course blends anatomy, empathy, and evidence-based bodywork to improve mobility, breath, and comfort for transgender and cisgender clients alike.
